Leicester Comic Con - June 21st 2014

So, this weekend was Leicester Comic Con.

Friday night we were still working on the batmobile You can see how we made it here. We didn't get it finished until 2am, and then poor Corey had to get up for work at 5am, and I had to get up at half 5 to get me and James ready to get the train at quarter past 8. I was entirely prepared for Saturday morning to be a total nightmare, and therefore, naturally, it was. Ok, it wasn't that bad, but I'd managed to lose my comic con ticket. I found it fairly easily, when I stopped throwing things around in a bad mood trying to find it and actually looked.

After getting past that minor hiccup everything went really smoothly!

James sat in the batmobile on the train on the way to Leicester, in his full batman costume, and I sat on the train in full Harley Quinn costume. We got to Leicester, swapped our ticket for a wristband and then went to join the fun!

There were so many amazing cosplays around. We saw a Storm Trooper, Kick-Ass, a little girl dressed as Pikachu, a little Zelda, even a little boy who told me he was Superman as Clarke Kent. There was a guy dressed as Carnage, a group of girls who were Riddler, Robin and Batgirl, and countless anime characters.

The batmobile and baby Batman got an amazing reception, so many people wanted photos with us and our costumes received a lot of costumes.

When Corey finished work he joined us in full Joker costume and our little alternate Gotham family was complete, lots of "parenting done right" high fives were received!

Here are the pics, sadly I didn't manage to get photos of all the costumes I saw!

Ooh, and the three of us won the prize for Best Group Cosplay! Very, very happy with that!

The whole day was totally amazing I would love, love, love a Leicester comic con next year!!
